Principal’s Welcome
Deanna Rush

Ahoy, Mateys! Welcome to Union Elementary’s website. I'm pleased that you chose to visit!

I’m excited to have the opportunity to return to Union Public School District in a new role for the 2015-16 school year. Having previously taught English and served as school counselor at Union, I know what a rich educational heritage Union Public School District possesses. The children who attend Union Elementary are blessed to spend their days with a highly qualified faculty who always put children first. We strive to meet the educational and emotional needs of all students by surrounding them with stimulating instruction and challenging opportunities.  Please know that our goal is to not only maintain an “A” status according to the school accountability ratings but also to build strong relationships with parents and other community members to ensure a positive educational experience for all of our students.

Please feel free to contact me by email or phone if have any questions or concerns.

Breakfast with the Principal

These third and fourth graders were selected for Breakfast with the Principal this morning, and Mrs. Rush loved getting to spend a few minutes over biscuits, bacon, and fruit with these special kiddos. They are from left to right: Nic Henry, Kallie Parker, Dinaiya Blalock, Leigha Bozeman, Quinton Jones, Jarvis Murrell, Will Hicks, and Jaylin Rogers.

Golden Sneaker

These students were chosen as the Golden Sneaker Winners for this week at UES. We're proud of their good attitudes and behavior! Pictured left to right are Dakotah Curtis, Peyton Killen, Aspen Lovern, Savannah Stokes, Ainsley Dennis, and Caleb Parker; standing, left to right: Gage Gibbs, Jadeynn Brazzle, Kendreuna Burrage, Connor Dees, Julia Harrison, and Eli Chandlee.
